Sun-Damage = Premature Aging!
The number one reason for premature aging is – you guessed it – Sun exposure
My mother has never used sunscreen in all her 72 years. She’s farmed, gardened, and drove tractor for many, many years without the protection of sunscreen. I’m in no way advocating not using sunscreen, but find this interesting. The kicker is everyone thinks she is at least 15 yrs younger. Crazy isn’t it, but it makes her feel really good!
If you are one prone to age spots or if your family has dealt with skin cancer or any other form of sun damage, please do yourself the service of using every precaution for your protection.
Here are a few tips to protect your skin from the sun:
Have any of you seen this picture of the man who drove semi-truck? This picture was and is astonishing.
Yes, sun exposure does age you and age you dramatically.
If I had a dollar for every woman that said she doesn’t use or need sunscreen because she doesn’t go outside, I’d be a rich woman.
There is scientific proof that sun can and does penetrate windows at all times and can and does cause damage. UV light damages the skin and does penetrate at all daylight hrs…so please be kind to your skin and use protection.
So, yes, using sunscreen even when you spend the majority of your time indoors is necessary if you desire younger looking skin.
Sunscreen, Sunscreen, Sunscreen. There are sunscreens for every type of skin, oily, dry, and uneven skin tones. Find the one that protects your skin and also works for your skin type.
Remember to apply sunscreen generously since most of us never apply enough. Studies show the most apply only 1/3 to 1/2 of the recommended amount. As you can see we all need a little more, so don’t be afraid to apply a generous dose of protection.
Make your day Beautiful!
