Do Over the Counter Acne Products Work?
Did you know that many OTC acne products actually contain ingredients that can clog pores? Before you reach for the nearest acne package at your local department store you might want to think twice.
There are so many popular brands that contain pore clogging ingredients. I was going to post the names and pictures of the products that are specifically geared toward those who suffer from acne, but I really don’t want to be that type of blogger or business person. I believe we can get the information out there without cutting down certain brands and other business.
This brand is carried in the high end stores and is advertised specifically for those with acne. It contains at least 3 pore clogging ingredients that will actually exasperate your skin even more then it is….Butylene Glycol – mildly comedogenic, Algae Extract which is highly comedogenic and Glyceryl Stearate which is mildly comedogenic.
Dermatologist’s recommend this product to most of there acne clients….it contains 3 mildly pore clogging ingredients Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Stearyl Alcohol and Cetyl Alcohol.
Another popular brand carries a BB Cream that has 6 pore clogging ingredients. All your local drugstores carry this brand, you will find it advertised on TV and in magazines as well…..knowing your ingredients is a must for clear skin.
The picture that you see above is a lady that I treated in the clinic. She is using the products I carry and also comes in for clinical treatments. She came in last week and her skin still looks amazing.
Using the right products will make all the difference in the world to your skin.
